What is a literacy-rich unit?
To me, a literacy-rich unit is one that offers students many opportunities to read, write, and speak using multiple texts, types of media, and technology. In this context, "literacy" means more than being able to read written words- it encompasses the many modes of thinking and performance required of students in the 21st century.
